The Holosun HS407C X3 Gold Dot Sight is a 1x open-emitter sight with a single 2 MOA gold dot on the Holosun 507C footprint, which is the Trijicon RMR pattern.
Gold sits between red and green in the spectrum and reads as a warm amber point, which separates from red-painted steel, orange targets and autumn woodland in a way a red dot does not.
The housing is 7075-T6 aluminium, IP67 rated, weighing 1.55 oz, measuring 1.78 × 1.31 × 1.11 in with a 0.91 × 0.67 in window. The X3 platform adds a forward-facing light sensor, so automatic brightness is set by the light on the target rather than the light behind the shooter.
