The Holosun HE512T-GR is a 1x fully enclosed rifle sight in a Grade 5 titanium housing, running a green Multi-Reticle System from a 540 nm LED on an integrated Picatinny mount.
Green sits closer to the peak of human eye sensitivity than red, so the same amount of power looks brighter in daylight, and shooters who see a red dot as a smear often get a clean reticle from a green one.
Behind the 0.91 x 1.26 in (23 x 32 mm) window the reticle switches between a 2 MOA dot, a 65 MOA circle and the two together. The mount is integral and sets the reticle at 1.41 in (35.8 mm), which Holosun calls absolute co-witness. Adjustment runs 0.5 MOA per click with 50 MOA of travel each way, and there are 8 daylight and 4 night-vision settings. A side-tray CR2032 gives up to 50,000 hours at setting 6, with Solar Failsafe adding light-powered backup and Shake Awake sleeping the reticle when the rifle is still. The titanium body is rated IPX8, measures 3.35 x 1.63 x 1.7 in (85 x 41 x 43 mm) and weighs 9.17 oz (260 g).
The sealed emitter is the point of this one in British weather: rain and mud settle on the outside of the glass, where a wipe clears them, rather than in front of an exposed LED where they smear the reticle. Set against that, titanium and an enclosed housing make it a solid 9.17 oz, which is a real weight on a light carbine.
