The Holosun HE507C X3, part HE507C-X3-GR, is a 1x open-emitter pistol sight on the Holosun 507C and Trijicon RMR footprint, with a 540 nm green Multi-Reticle System behind a 0.91 x 0.67 in window.
The eye is more sensitive to green than to red at the same output, so the same power draw arrives looking brighter and cleaner. That is the entire case for a green emitter, and it holds up in woodland and failing light.
The Multi-Reticle System switches between a 2 MOA dot, a 32 MOA circle and both together, which covers precision and speed from one sight. Windage and elevation move in 1 MOA per click across 50 MOA of travel each way. A CR1632 loads from a side tray so the cell changes with the sight still mounted and zeroed, rated to 50,000 hours at setting six, and Solar Failsafe, Shake Awake and Lock Mode sit behind it. The housing is 7075-T6 aluminium, IP67 rated, at 1.55 oz.
What the X3 generation adds over the X2 is the sensor position. The light meter faces forward, so automatic brightness responds to the light falling on the target instead of the light behind the shooter — which is exactly the case that catches an older optic out when you step from shade into open ground. The reticle is open-emitter, so the LED channel is exposed: it is lighter and cheaper than an enclosed design, and it wants a wipe if you shoot in heavy rain or fine dust.
Why shooters choose the HE507C X3
-
Reticle — green Multi-Reticle System — 2 MOA dot, 32 MOA circle, or circle-dot at 540 nm
-
Footprint — Holosun 507C, which is the Trijicon RMR pattern
-
Sensor — forward-facing light sensor, so auto brightness reads the target not the shooter
-
Illumination — 12 settings — 10 daylight and 2 night vision
-
Power — side-loading CR1632 with Solar Failsafe, Shake Awake and Lock Mode, up to 50,000 hours
-
Adjustment — 1 MOA per click with ±50 MOA of travel
-
Build — 7075-T6 aluminium, IP67 rated, 1.55 oz
What the HE507C X3 fits
It bolts to any RMR-cut slide, and to an optics-ready pistol supplied with an RMR-pattern adapter plate. On a rifle or a pistol-calibre carbine it will sit on any RMR-footprint mount. The previous generation is the HE507C X2, the same footprint with an ACSS reticle is the HE507C X2 ACSS Vulcan, and for a larger competition window there is the HE507 ProMax.
