The Holosun EPS-GD-2 is a full-size 1x enclosed pistol sight running a fixed 2 MOA gold dot at 590nm, built on the Holosun K footprint and supplied with an RMR-to-K adapter plate.
Gold is the point of this one. The 590nm emitter lands in a part of the spectrum that many shooters, and particularly those with astigmatism, resolve as a cleaner dot than red.
The window measures 0.90 x 0.63 in (22.9 x 16.0 mm) and the housing is 7075-T6 aluminium at 1.63 x 1.19 x 0.99 in and 1.4 oz (40 g), rated IPX8 and tested to 5000G. An aspheric lens and a low deck height keep the sight picture clean and make co-witnessing with irons straightforward. Adjustment is 1.5 MOA per click with 30 MOA of travel each way.
A 2 MOA dot is the precise end of the range rather than the fast end, so it favours careful placement over the quickest possible pick-up; the 6 MOA version is the one to take if speed matters more. Power is a CR1620 in a side-loading tray rated at up to 50,000 hours at setting 6, changed without pulling the sight or losing zero, with Shake Awake and Lock Mode to stop the settings drifting in a bag. Eight daylight brightness levels are joined by four that work behind night vision.
