The Holosun EPS-CARRY-GD-6 is a fully enclosed slim-slide pistol sight projecting a single 6 MOA gold dot at 590 nm from behind a 0.77 x 0.58 in window.
A sealed emitter cannot be blanked by lint, rain or propellant residue, which is the one failure that genuinely catches open reflex pistol sights out.
The body is 7075 T6 aluminium measuring 1.63 x 1.07 x 0.95 in and weighing 1.23 oz, rated IPX8 for immersion and tested to 5000G. The CR1620 cell loads from a tray in the side of the housing, so it can be changed with the sight still bolted down and still zeroed, and Holosun rate it for up to 50,000 hours with Shake Awake handling the sleep and wake. Windage and elevation move 1.5 MOA per click with 30 MOA of travel each way, across twelve brightness settings split eight daylight and four night vision. A rear notch is machined into the housing and the deck height is kept low for co-witnessing.
Six MOA is the coarse, fast option: a large aiming point the eye locks onto immediately at close range on a small pistol, at the cost of covering more of a distant target than a 2 MOA dot would. Holosun give this sight the K footprint and supply an RMSc to K adapter plate with it, which is how it reaches RMSc-cut slides. Note also that this fixed-dot version has no solar cell — Solar Failsafe is fitted to the Multi-Reticle System models instead — so the CR1620 and Shake Awake carry it on their own.
