The EOTech XPS2-0GRN is a 1x holographic weapon sight that draws its 68 MOA ring and 1 MOA centre dot in green rather than red, on a 1in Weaver or MIL-STD-1913 cross-bolt mount.
Green is the whole argument for this model. The eye is more sensitive to it, so at the same brightness setting the ring and dot read harder against foliage, dark backgrounds and shaded targets.
It is the compact XPS body, 3.8 x 2.1 x 2.5 in and 9.0 oz (255 g), with a transverse CR123 cell tucked across the rear rather than a pair of batteries under the window. EOTech rates that cell at 1,000 continuous hours at the nominal setting with the red reticle, and 600 hours when it is driving the green one. The sight is sealed to 10 ft (3 m) and made in the USA.
Twenty daylight brightness settings and 0.5 MOA clicks cover ordinary range and practical use. Be clear on two things before ordering: this is a daylight sight with no night-vision levels, and the green emitter is the shorter-running of the two, so carry a spare cell if the rifle lives in a cabinet between outings.
