The EOTech XPS2-0GREY is the compact 1x holographic weapon sight with the 68 MOA ring and 1 MOA centre dot reticle, supplied in a grey housing.
Holography, not a reflex projection: the reticle is a recorded image reconstructed in the window, so it is parallax-free and stays where it is even when you look through the glass off-axis.
The transverse CR123 cell sits under the hood rather than behind it, which is what keeps the XPS body so short, and EOTech rate the cell at up to 1,000 hours. It clamps to a 1in Weaver or MIL-STD-1913 rail with a cross-bolt fixing, adjusts in 0.5 MOA per click, is sealed to a depth of 10 ft (3 m) and weighs 9.0 oz (255 g). It is made in the USA.
The short body is the practical argument: on a carbine rail it leaves room ahead of the sight for a magnifier, and the 68 MOA ring gets the eye to the target while the 1 MOA dot does the aiming.
