The EOTech Vudu X 1-6x24 is a second focal plane low power variable optic on a 30 mm tube, supplied in black with the illuminated DP1 reticle.
Second focal plane is the deliberate choice here: the DP1 stays the same apparent size however far you zoom, so it never thins away to nothing at 1x or swallows a small target at 6x.
Turrets move in 1/2 MOA clicks with 160 MOA of total travel in both windage and elevation. Illumination runs through 10 operator-controlled brightness levels with an off position between each, so the reticle can be switched off in one click rather than scrolled back down the range. Eye relief is 3.3-3.9 in (84-99 mm). The scope is 10.3 in (261 mm) long, weighs 17.8 oz (505 g) and takes a single CR2032.
It suits a shooter who wants one rifle to work from close range out to the far end of a 6x picture, with a 24 mm objective that is still gathering usable light at dusk and an illuminated reticle for shooting into shadow.
