Four power is too much glass for a target at ten metres, and that is precisely the problem the offset dot solves. Cant the rifle, take the close shot on the EFLX, roll it back upright for the far one.
The scope is 7.1 in (180.3 mm) long and weighs 16.9 oz (479 g) over a 36 mm objective, built in Japan. Turrets move in 0.1 MRAD per click, and because the MD5 sits in the first focal plane its subtensions stay true at every magnification rather than only at the top end. The EFLX runs its own CR2032 cell.
An MRAD reticle with matching MRAD clicks means a miss can be measured in the glass and dialled straight back in without arithmetic, which is why this configuration suits target and gallery rifle work as well as stalking. A first focal plane reticle does shrink as you wind the magnification down, so at 4x the finer marks are small; that is the cost of holdovers that are always honest.
