The EOTech Vudu 4-12x36 in this configuration is the first focal plane model with the illuminated MR5 MRAD reticle, a 36 mm objective and 0.1 MRAD adjustment, part number VDU4-12FFMR5.
First focal plane is what you are paying for. The reticle grows and shrinks with the magnification, so an MR5 subtension measures the same thing at 4x as it does at 12x and a hold is a hold at any power.
It is a compact scope for its magnification: 7.1 in (180.3 mm) long and 16.9 oz (479 g), built in Japan. Field of view runs 28.5 ft (8.6 m) at 4x down to 9.5 ft (2.9 m) at 12x, measured at 100 yards, and the turrets move in 0.1 MRAD steps. The MR5 is illuminated for low light.
It suits shooters who range and hold in milliradians rather than dialling every shot — target and gallery work, stalking at longer distances, and precision straight-pull rifles. The honest caveats are the objective and the reticle system: a 36 mm front lens is modest for late evening at 12x, and if you think in MOA rather than MRAD this is the wrong scope. EOTech does not publish a total adjustment range for it.

What the Vudu 4-12x36 fits
It needs a set of rings or a one-piece mount matched to its tube, and it is short enough to sit on a compact receiver without hanging over the handguard.
