The Daniel Defense Rail Mounted Fixed Front Sight is a fixed front iron sight for AR-15 and M4 rifles, mounting to any MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail.

Daniel Defense's own summary is that the lightweight, streamlined design makes this sight unobtrusive and snag-free, and the shaping is deliberate. The design accommodates compact weapon lights such as the X300 and TLR-1 positioned forward of the sight, and the concave radius on either side is described by Daniel Defense as a great place to rest your thumb for easy, ambidextrous activation of the light. A front sight that shares the rail with a light is normally a compromise; this one was drawn with the light in place.
It is one piece, machined from 6061-T6 aluminium with a Military Specification hard anodised finish, and it installs on any MIL-STD-1913 rail using a slotted fastener into a self-locking stainless steel thread insert. It weighs 1.1 oz (31 g), and it is designed to complement the A1.5 Fixed Rear Sight.
