The Daniel Defense Omega Rail 9.0 is a drop-in free-float quad Picatinny handguard for AR-15 and M4 rifles with a mid-length gas system, fitted with the supplied Allen wrench and no modification to the rifle.

The Omega Rail 9.0 is the mid-length member of the family, engineered specifically for mid-length AR-15 gas systems. Like its shorter sibling it installs with the provided Allen wrench and requires zero modification to the weapon, which means no barrel nut removal and no trip to a gunsmith. None is supplied because none is needed.
The rail free-floats the barrel completely, so a bipod, a tight sling or heavy support-hand pressure no longer walks the point of impact. On a UK straight-pull AR-15, shot deliberately and often from support, that is the single most useful thing a handguard can do. The upper rail platform runs uninterrupted for the optic and backup sights, and an integral QD sling swivel mount with a rotation limiter is built in.
Construction is CNC-machined aircraft-grade aluminium, Military Specification Type III hard-coat anodised, with fasteners to military specification throughout. It weighs 9.8 oz (280 g) and covers 8.88" (226 mm) of barrel.

What the Omega Rail 9.0 fits
Fits AR-15/M4 rifles with a mid-length gas system, including UK straight-pull AR-15 builds. Rail length is 8.88" (226 mm) and inside diameter is 1.08" (27 mm), so measure from the receiver face to the front of your gas block and check the block will pass — a low-profile block clears a 1.08" bore, a standard front sight base does not. No barrel nut is supplied and none is required. For a carbine-gas rifle, the shorter Daniel Defense Omega Rail 7.0 is the same rail at 6.88".
