What the Mod 1 Compartment Kit fits
Fits any AR-15/M4-pattern lower receiver with a standard threaded rear. The kit supplies the Mil-Spec carbine receiver extension itself, so no existing buffer tube is needed — a sensible pick if you are building a lower from parts rather than upgrading an assembled rifle. Fitting is ordinary assembly: thread the extension in, fit the end plate and castle nut, torque and stake the nut, then drop in the buffer and spring. A castle-nut wrench is required.
