Product Overview

The Timney 667S is a self-contained single-stage drop-in trigger with a curved shoe for small-pin (.154 in) AR-15 and M4 pattern lower receivers.

Timney's modern classic single-stage trigger — the 667S pairs a hand-calibrated break with the curve traditional shooters trust.

The Timney 667S drops a clean, consistent single-stage pull into small-pin (.154 in) AR-15 lowers through a traditional curved shoe. The curve cradles the finger pad and gives instinctive tactile position — the feel generations of riflemen trained on — while the internals deliver Timney's signature: no creep, minimal overtravel, and a reset you feel without hunting for it.

Delivered as a self-contained drop-in module, the 667S installs through your existing pin holes in minutes and arrives exactly as it was calibrated — the same simple promise Timney has kept since 1946.

Why shooters choose the 667S

  • Hand-calibrated single-stage break — clean and consistent
  • Traditional curved shoe — instinctive finger placement
  • Self-contained drop-in module — the easiest install format
  • Small-pin (.154 in) fit — standard Mil-Spec lowers

What the 667S fits

Drops into small-pin AR-15/M4 pattern lower receivers with .154 in trigger pins, using the existing pin holes — including UK straight-pull AR-15 builds, where a clean single-stage break is a straightforward upgrade over a factory pull. Large-pin receivers are not compatible, so confirm your pin size before ordering. Function-check the rifle before live fire.

Product Questions

Will the 667S fit my lower receiver?
It drops into AR-15 and M4 pattern lowers that use small .154 in trigger pins, which is the common mil-spec size. Large-pin receivers will not accept it, so confirm your pin size before ordering rather than after. If you are not sure, the lower's manufacturer will be able to tell you.
What sort of trigger pull does it give?
It is a self-contained single-stage drop-in, so the pull is one continuous movement to a clean break with none of the grit you get from a stock mil-spec trigger. Being a sealed unit, the internals stay in alignment rather than depending on how well your pins and springs are seated. It is a sensible general-purpose upgrade rather than a specialist match trigger.
Curved or straight shoe — which should I pick?
This is the curved-shoe version, which matches the shape most AR shooters already have muscle memory for. The 667S-ST straight shoe is the same trigger with a flat bow, which gives a consistent contact point and a slightly different feel at the bottom of the face. If you shoot with your finger high on the trigger, the curve usually feels more natural.
What do I need to install it?
A punch and hammer to drive the trigger pins out and back in is normally the extent of it, plus any anti-rotation hardware supplied with the unit. Once in, do a full function check before the rifle is used. For a comparison of the drop-in options we stock, see our AR-15 trigger guide.
