Product Overview

The Reptilia SADDLE is a receiver-mounted optic mount for the Beretta 1301 and A300 shotguns, holding an Aimpoint ACRO or Steiner MPS low enough to co-witness the factory Beretta iron sights.

The lowest way to put a miniature red dot on a 1301. No rail, no riser, and it uses the screws the shotgun already came with.

Reptilia machine the SADDLE from billet 7075-T6 aluminium in MIL-STD Type III hardcoat anodising. It weighs 23 g (0.8 oz) and fits directly to the receiver of the Beretta 1301 and A300 line using the screws supplied with the shotgun, so there is no rail section, no adapter and no additional hardware in the stack.

Sitting the optic on the receiver rather than on a rail is what keeps it low, and low is what lets the factory Beretta irons co-witness through the ACRO's window. The ACRO's sealed housing is a sensible pairing on a shotgun that lives outdoors in British weather, because the emitter cannot be fouled from outside. Made in the USA.

Why shooters choose the SADDLE for Aimpoint ACRO and Steiner MPS

  • Mounts to the receiver — no rail section and no riser, so the optic sits as low as it physically can
  • Co-witnesses the factory irons — the Beretta sights stay usable through the optic window
  • ACRO footprint — Aimpoint ACRO P1, P2 and C2 and the Steiner MPS
  • Uses the shotgun's own screws — the screws supplied with the 1301 and A300 do the job
  • 23 g (0.8 oz) — billet 7075-T6 aluminium in MIL-STD Type III hardcoat anodising

What the SADDLE for Aimpoint ACRO and Steiner MPS fits

Fits the Beretta 1301 and A300 line of shotguns, taking an Aimpoint ACRO P1, P2 or C2, or a Steiner MPS. It uses the mounting screws that come with the 1301 and A300, so no extra hardware is needed. This is the ACRO/MPS version. Reptilia also make a SADDLE for the Holosun 509T, which fits the same shotguns but is cut for the 509T's entirely different enclosed footprint — the two are not interchangeable, so buy on the optic you own. It will not fit any other shotgun.

Compatibility & Fitment

Fits Beretta 1301 and A300 shotguns only, with Aimpoint ACRO P1, P2 or C2 or Steiner MPS optics. Uses the mounting screws supplied with the shotgun. Co-witnesses the factory Beretta iron sights. Will not accept a Holosun 509T — that footprint needs the 509T SADDLE.

Please confirm platform, interface and fitment requirements before ordering.

Product Questions

Which optics fit this saddle?
Aimpoint ACRO P1, P2 and C2, and the Steiner MPS. That is the ACRO footprint. A Holosun 509T will not fit — it is an enclosed optic with its own mounting pattern, and Reptilia make a separate SADDLE for it. The two saddles look similar and are not interchangeable.
Do I need a rail on the shotgun?
No. The SADDLE mounts directly to the receiver of the 1301 or A300 using the screws that came with the shotgun. That is what keeps the optic low enough to co-witness the factory irons — a rail plus a mount would put it too high for that.
Will I still see my iron sights?
Yes. Reptilia designed the SADDLE as the lowest possible mounting solution for a miniature red dot on these shotguns specifically so the factory Beretta irons stay visible through the optic window. That gives you a backup sighting system without changing the sights themselves.
Does it fit any other shotgun?
No. It is machined for the receiver of the Beretta 1301 and A300 line and nothing else. A saddle is a shape-specific part, so there is no adapter that makes it fit a different receiver.
How will it arrive?
Optic mounts are sent from the United Kingdom with £5 tracked UK delivery in 7–10 business days, and you'll get tracking by email when it ships. If a part turns out to be the wrong fit, see our returns policy or contact us and we'll help sort it.
