Product Overview

The Reptilia ROF Diving Board is a MIL-STD-1913 accessory rail for 34mm scope mounts, replacing the ring cap on a Reptilia AUS or Geissele Super Precision mount to carry a laser rangefinder, designator or miniature red dot above the scope.

One ring diameter, one job. It turns the top of a 34mm scope mount into a rail — and doubles the clamping area on the scope tube while it does it.

Where a ROF-90 is cut for one optic footprint, the Diving Board carries a rail and lets you decide what goes on it. It was built to a DoD specification for units mounting a Wilcox RAPTAR or a similar rangefinder-designator on a precision rifle, which is why it extends forward over the objective rather than sitting compactly over the turret. Anything with a Picatinny clamp can go on it.

The clever part is underneath. The Diving Board reuses the ring cap from the host mount instead of discarding it, so the scope tube ends up with roughly double the supported area rather than losing clamping surface to the accessory. It is machined from billet 7075-T6 aluminium with nitrided 4140 steel screws, finished in MIL-STD Type III hardcoat anodising, at 100 g (3.5 oz). For a UK precision bolt gun where the rangefinder currently lives in a pocket, that is the difference between ranging a target and losing it. 100% designed and manufactured in the USA.

Why shooters choose the ROF Diving Board

  • MIL-STD-1913 rail — takes a rangefinder, designator, laser or miniature red dot, your choice rather than one fixed footprint
  • Doubles the support area — reuses the host mount's ring cap, so the scope tube gains clamping surface instead of losing it
  • Built to a DoD specification — designed around the Wilcox RAPTAR class of rangefinder-designator
  • Billet 7075-T6 aluminium — hardcoat anodised, nitrided 4140 steel screws, 100 g (3.5 oz)
  • Two finishes — Black Anodized and FDE Anodized, to match the mount underneath

What the ROF Diving Board fits

Fits 34mm Reptilia AUS mounts and 34mm Geissele Super Precision mounts only. The ring diameter is fixed at 34mm on this listing and is not adjustable — a 34mm Diving Board will not clamp a 30mm or 35mm ring. Because it extends forward over the objective, scope clearance matters as well as tube diameter. Reptilia optimised it for the NightForce ATACR 5-25x56 F1, 7-37x56 and 7-37x56 F1, and confirm it also fits the Vortex RAZOR HD GEN III 6-35x56 FFP and the Tangent Theta 5-25x56 and 7-35x56. It is not compatible with the Schmidt & Bender PM II Ultra Short or the Cronus BTR 4.5-29x56. Check your scope against that list before ordering.

How it differs from a ROF-90

Both sit on the ring cap of a 34mm mount, but they solve different problems. A ROF-90 such as the 34mm ROF-90 for Trijicon RMR & SRO is machined for one optic footprint and holds a red dot compactly at 12 o'clock. The Diving Board gives you a length of Picatinny instead, which is what you need for a rangefinder or a designator but is longer and heavier than a dedicated dot mount. If all you want is a red dot above the scope, the ROF-90 is the lighter answer; if you need to mount something that only has a rail clamp, this is the one.

Product Questions

Will it fit my scope and mount?
It fits 34mm Reptilia AUS and 34mm Geissele Super Precision mounts only, and because it extends forward over the objective the scope itself matters too. Reptilia confirm the NightForce ATACR 5-25x56 F1, 7-37x56 and 7-37x56 F1, the Vortex RAZOR HD GEN III 6-35x56 FFP and the Tangent Theta 5-25x56 and 7-35x56. They specifically exclude the Schmidt & Bender PM II Ultra Short and the Cronus BTR 4.5-29x56.
What can I mount on it?
Anything with a MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny clamp. It was designed around laser rangefinder-designators such as the Wilcox RAPTAR, but a miniature red dot or an illuminator works equally well. That is the main difference from a ROF-90, which is machined for one optic footprint and takes nothing else.
Does it weaken the scope mounting?
The opposite. The Diving Board reuses the ring cap from your existing mount rather than replacing it, so the scope tube ends up with roughly double the supported area. Torque everything to the mount manufacturer's figures and confirm your zero afterwards, as you would after any work on the rings.
Should I buy this or a ROF-90?
If you only want a red dot above the scope, the 34mm ROF-90 is lighter and more compact. Choose the Diving Board when the thing you need to mount has a rail clamp rather than an optic footprint, which is nearly always the case with rangefinders and designators.
How will it arrive?
Optic mounts are sent from the United Kingdom with free tracked UK delivery in 7–10 days, and you'll get tracking by email when it ships. If a part turns out to be the wrong fit, see our returns policy or contact us and we'll help sort it.
