Product Overview

The Reptilia ROF-90 is a 12 o'clock red dot mount for the Trijicon RMR & SRO, machined as a drop-in upgrade for 35mm Reptilia AUS and Geissele Super Precision scope mounts.

One ring diameter, one optic footprint. The ROF-90 puts the red dot directly above the scope at 90°, where your eye already is.

Reptilia call it Ring Optic Forward. The ROF-90 sits on the scope-ring cap of a 35mm mount and carries a miniature red dot at the 12 o'clock position rather than hanging it off a separate rail or an offset bracket. That keeps the dot close to the scope's centreline, so moving between magnified and unmagnified is a change of focus rather than a change of position.

It is machined from billet 7075-T6 aluminium and finished in MIL-STD Type III hardcoat anodising. The 35mm version exists because the largest modern first-focal-plane scopes have outgrown 34mm tubes, and a 35mm ring needs its own cap — this is not a 34mm part with a shim. On a UK straight-pull AR-15 or a precision bolt gun it earns its keep at the awkward end of the range card: the scope stays set for the shot you planned, the dot takes the one that appears at 25 m, and each keeps its own zero. Made in the USA.

Why shooters choose the 35mm ROF-90

  • 90° mounting point — the dot sits at 12 o'clock directly above the scope, not offset to one side
  • Drop-in upgrade — fits 35mm Reptilia AUS and Geissele Super Precision mounts, with no extra rail or riser
  • Billet 7075-T6 aluminium — MIL-STD Type III hardcoat anodised
  • One footprint — cut for the Trijicon RMR & SRO and nothing else, so the optic beds flat and the screws land square
  • Independent zero — the red dot keeps a close-range zero while the scope keeps yours

What the 35mm ROF-90 fits

Fits Trijicon RMR and SRO, plus Holosun HS407, HE407, HS507, HE507 and HE508 series. The ROF-90 is a drop-in upgrade for 35mm Reptilia AUS mounts and 35mm Geissele Super Precision mounts only — it is not a Picatinny mount, and it will not fit a scope ring of any other diameter. Ring diameter and optic footprint are both fixed on this listing: 35mm rings, Trijicon RMR & SRO footprint. Neither is adjustable, so check both against your own mount and optic before ordering — a 35mm ROF will not clamp a 34mm ring.

How the ROF-90, ROF-45 and ROF-SAR differ

Reptilia build three ROF mechanisms. The ROF-90 on this page piggybacks the red dot at 12 o'clock on top of the scope-ring cap. The ROF-45 holds the same optic at 45°, so you roll the rifle rather than shift focus. The ROF-SAR replaces the ring cap entirely instead of sitting on top of it, carrying the dot lower over the bore. On 35mm rings Reptilia currently make only the ROF-90, so the ROF-45 and ROF-SAR are 30mm and 34mm options — see the 34mm ROF-45 and the 34mm ROF-SAR if your scope runs a 34mm tube. On 35mm rings with a different optic, the same ROF-90 is made for the Aimpoint Micro and for the Aimpoint ACRO & Steiner MPS.

Product Questions

Will the ROF-90 fit my mount?
Only if you are running a 35mm Reptilia AUS mount or a 35mm Geissele Super Precision mount. The ROF-90 sits on the ring cap of those mounts, so it is not a Picatinny mount and it will not fit a 34mm ring or any other diameter. Check your mount's specification before ordering.
Which optics does it take?
It is cut for one footprint: Trijicon RMR and SRO, plus Holosun HS407, HE407, HS507, HE507 and HE508 series. A mount cut for another footprint will not accept your optic, because the screw positions and the recoil boss differ between them. If your red dot is not on that list, this is not the version you want.
Why would I be on 35mm rather than 34mm?
35mm tubes appear on the largest modern first-focal-plane scopes, where the extra tube diameter buys internal elevation. The ring cap is machined to the tube, so a 35mm ROF is a different part from the 34mm one rather than the same part with a shim. Check the tube diameter printed on your scope or its specification sheet before ordering.
Does the red dot share the scope's zero?
No, and that is the point. The dot is zeroed on its own for close range while the scope keeps the zero you set for distance, so you are not re-dialling between the two. Confirm both zeros after fitting, as you would with any mount that has come off and gone back on.
How will it arrive?
Optic mounts are sent from the United Kingdom with £5 tracked UK delivery in 7–10 business days, and you'll get tracking by email when it ships. If a part turns out to be the wrong fit, see our returns policy or contact us and we'll help sort it.
