Product Overview

The Reptilia RMU Mount is a Picatinny riser that raises a fixed-height optic by 0.625in, made for the EOTech holographic range, the Vortex AMG UH-1 and the Sig ROMEO8T.

Some optics do not come apart from their mount. This raises the whole thing instead — 0.625in, in three lengths.

Reptilia built the RMU at the request of a DoD customer. Machined from billet 7075-T6 aluminium with a Milspec Type III hard anodised finish, it sits between the rail and the optic and adds 0.625in of height, keeping a spring-loaded nitride steel clamp and mounting bolt with the same low-profile, anti-snag shape as the rest of the Reptilia range.

Choose the slot count to match the footprint your optic occupies: 6 slots at 77.7 g (2.7 oz), 9 slots at 95 g (3.4 oz), or 12 slots at 109 g (3.8 oz). A holographic sight with an integral base cannot be re-mounted onto a taller mount, so raising the whole assembly is the only way to get a head-up position under night vision or with a helmet. Made in the USA.

Why shooters choose the RMU Mount 0.625"

  • Adds 0.625in of height — for optics whose mount is part of the optic and cannot be swapped
  • Three lengths — 6-slot at 77.7 g, 9-slot at 95 g or 12-slot at 109 g, to match the optic's footprint
  • Built for a DoD request — designed around EOTech, Vortex AMG UH-1 and Sig ROMEO8T sights
  • Billet 7075-T6 aluminium — Milspec Type III hard anodised, with a spring-loaded nitride steel clamp
  • Anti-snag profile — clamp and mounting bolt sit flush with the body, as on the rest of the range

What the RMU Mount 0.625" fits

Fits any M1913 Picatinny rail and accepts any optic that clamps to Picatinny — Reptilia designed it around the EOTech holographic range, the Vortex Optics AMG UH-1 and the Sig Optics ROMEO8T, all of which carry an integral base. Choose the slot count so the riser is at least as long as your optic's own clamp: 6, 9 or 12 slots. All three are Black. This is a riser for a whole optic assembly, not a magnifier riser — to raise a 3x or 6x magnifier so it lines up behind a 1.93in dot, use the RMU Mount 0.39in for magnifiers instead.

Product Questions

Which slot count do I need?
Match it to the length of your optic's own clamp. A short-based sight sits happily on the 6-slot; a long EOTech base wants the 9-slot or the 12-slot so the clamp is fully supported and the recoil lugs engage properly. Measure the base of your optic in rail slots and take the riser that is at least that long.
Why raise the optic at all?
Because a holographic sight with an integral base cannot be moved onto a taller mount — the mount is part of the optic. Raising the whole assembly by 0.625in brings the sightline up for a head-up position, for use with a helmet, or for working behind a night vision device. It is the only way to change the height of that class of optic.
Does it fit anything other than those three sights?
Mechanically it takes any optic that clamps to Picatinny, because the top of the riser is a Picatinny rail. Reptilia designed and tested it around the EOTech range, the Vortex AMG UH-1 and the Sig ROMEO8T, so those are the three we will state. Anything else is your judgement rather than the manufacturer's.
Does the extra height affect zero?
It changes where the sightline sits relative to the bore, so re-zero after fitting rather than assuming the old zero carries across. The mount itself indexes into the rail slots, so once you have zeroed it, taking it off and refitting it in the same slots returns you to the same place.
How will it arrive?
Optic mounts are sent from the United Kingdom with free tracked UK delivery in 7–10 days, and you'll get tracking by email when it ships. If a part turns out to be the wrong fit, see our returns policy or contact us and we'll help sort it.
