Product Overview

The Reptilia DOT Mount is a one-piece Picatinny optic mount for red dots using the Trijicon RMR footprint, placing the optical axis 1.93in (49 mm) above the rail.

The RMR footprint is the most widely copied mounting pattern in the business. This is the mount that takes it up to 1.93in without an adapter plate.

Machined from billet 7075-T6 aluminium with a Milspec Type III hard anodised finish, the mount attaches to any M1913 Picatinny rail and holds the optic on a direct RMR interface. A nitrided 4140 steel clamp does the work at the rail, and the whole assembly weighs 58 g (2.0 oz).

Because it mounts direct, there is no plate stacked between the optic and the mount — and a plate is where most red dot mounting problems begin, since it adds a second set of screws and a second joint that can move. On a UK straight-pull AR-15 shot deliberately, removing that joint is worth more than any feature you could add. Made in the USA.

What the 1.93" DOT Mount for Trijicon RMR/SRO fits

Fits any red dot using the Trijicon RMR mounting geometry — Trijicon RMR and SRO, and the Holosun 507 and 508 series — on any M1913 Picatinny rail, including the flat-top upper of a UK straight-pull AR-15. Footprint and height are both fixed: RMR footprint, 1.93in optical axis. Standard AR-15 back-up irons will not co-witness at this height. A Holosun 509T uses an entirely different enclosed footprint and needs the 509T DOT Mount instead.

Does my Holosun fit?

The 507 and 508 series use the RMR footprint, so yes. The 509T does not — it is an enclosed-emitter optic with its own mounting pattern and needs a mount cut for it. Holosun's model numbers are close enough together that this catches people out, so check the number on your optic rather than the family name.

Do I need an adapter plate?

No, and that is the point of buying a footprint-specific mount. The optic screws straight onto the mount's interface. An adapter plate adds a second joint and a second set of screws between the optic and the rail, and every extra joint is another place a zero can shift under recoil.

RMR and SRO in the same mount?

Yes. Trijicon designed the SRO around the same mounting geometry as the RMR, so both sit on this interface. The SRO's taller window changes how you see through it, not how it bolts down.

Will my back-up irons line up?

Not at 1.93in. Standard AR-15 back-up iron sights sit below the optic window at this height, so they are a separate sighting system rather than a co-witness. If you want them in view through the dot, this is not the height to buy.
