The Magpul MOE SL-S Carbine Stock (MAG653) answers the question the SL family raised: can a slim stock still carry your essentials? The SL-S packages an enclosed internal storage compartment — sized for optic batteries and small spares — inside the same fast-handling silhouette, with an angled rubber buttpad for quick shoulder mounts and ambidextrous QD sling sockets rigged forward for tight two-point carry.

The cheek weld is full and repeatable, the release lever is shielded from accidental operation, and the whole stock is moulded from Magpul's reinforced polymer. It is the stock for shooters who want SL speed without giving up the self-contained-rifle concept.

Which buffer tubes does the SL-S fit?

It fits AR15/M4 rifles with a Mil-Spec-diameter carbine receiver extension. Commercial-diameter tubes are larger and won't take it, so check your tube specification before ordering. If your rifle came built and you don't know which it has, measure it or send us the details.

What is the S in SL-S about?

The S is for storage: this version carries an enclosed internal compartment in the body of the stock, which the plain MOE SL doesn't have. The compartment is closed rather than open, so contents stay put when the rifle is carried muzzle down. It's the reason for the small step up in bulk over the standard SL.

How do I attach a sling to it?

It has ambidextrous QD sockets built in, so a push-button QD swivel clips straight into either side depending on which shoulder you shoot from. That saves adding a separate sling mount at the rear. Any industry-standard QD sling swivel will engage the sockets.

Which finish, and how does it compare with the plain MOE SL?

Black, Flat Dark Earth, Olive Drab Green and Stealth Gray are offered. Choose the MOE SL if you want the slimmest version and don't need onboard storage, or the SL-S if you'd rather carry a few small items in the stock. Both sit in Magpul AR-15 stocks alongside the rest of the family.
