Product Overview

The Magpul MBUS Pro Offset Rear is an all-steel 45° offset backup iron sight, clamping to any 1913 Picatinny rail alongside a primary optic.

The rear half of the fastest optic-to-irons transition in shooting — 45° offset, all steel, always ready.

The Magpul MBUS Pro Offset Rear Sight (MAG526) completes the offset sighting system: mounted at 45° beside your magnified optic, it pairs with the offset front to give a full iron-sight picture the instant you roll the rifle. Close targets, failed optics or fogged glass stop being problems — the irons are simply there, zeroed and waiting, without a single control to operate.

Like every MBUS Pro, it is machined from steel with a corrosion-resistant finish, folds to a tiny snag-free profile, and locks up with no discernible play. Windage adjustment is tool-less with positive clicks, making zeroing at the range quick work.

Why shooters choose the MBUS Pro Offset Rear

  • 45° offset geometry — instant transitions from magnified glass
  • All-steel construction — survives what breaks polymer offsets
  • Tool-less windage adjustment — crisp, positive clicks
  • Tiny folded footprint — clear of the optic, clear of your hands
  • Play-free lockup — dependable return to zero

What the MBUS Pro Offset Rear fits

Fits 1913 Picatinny rails and sits at 45° so it runs alongside a primary optic rather than under it. You need rail space clear of your scope mount and rings, which usually means the front half of a continuous top rail. Zero it as a pair with the MBUS Pro Offset Front (MAG525) at your preferred close-quarters distance — an offset rear only works with an offset front set at the same angle on the same rail plane.

Product Questions

How does an offset rear sight mount?
The MAG526 fits 1913 Picatinny rails and sits at 45 degrees so it runs alongside a primary optic rather than under it. You need rail space clear of your scope mount and rings, which usually means the front half of a continuous top rail. It pairs with the MBUS Pro Offset Front (MAG525).
Why choose 45-degree offset sights over conventional backups?
Offset sights let you roll the rifle to one side and get an iron sight picture without removing or looking through a magnified optic. Conventional flip-ups have to share the rail centreline with your optic, which is awkward with a scope. It is the usual answer when a magnified optic occupies the top rail.
What is it made of and does it fold?
It is all steel with a black finish, and it is a flip-up design, so it stows against the rail until needed. Steel construction means it takes knocks better than a polymer sight at the cost of a little more weight. Keep the hinge clean and the rail screw tight and there is nothing else to do.
Do I need the matching front sight?
Yes, an offset rear only works with an offset front set at the same angle on the same rail plane, which is the MAG525. Both come in the single black steel finish. Other options are in iron sights and backup sights if you decide conventional flip-ups suit your build better.
How does delivery and returns work?
Offset sights leave the United Kingdom with £5 tracked UK delivery in 7–10 business days and tracking is emailed to you when they ship. If the rail geometry on your rifle does not suit them, see our returns policy or contact us and we'll help sort it.
