The Magpul MBUS Pro Hooded Front Sight is an all-steel folding backup iron sight for AR-15 and M4 rifles, clamping to any 1913 Picatinny top rail.

An all-steel front sight tough enough to run as your primary — the MBUS Pro Hooded sets the standard for backup irons.

The Magpul MBUS Pro Hooded Front Sight (MAG1518) is machined from steel and finished in a corrosion-resistant black, with a protective hood shielding the post from knocks, drops and hard contact. Where polymer backup sights are an insurance policy, the MBUS Pro is a genuine sighting system: it locks up with zero play, holds zero through abuse, and presents a crisp, clean post the moment it deploys.

Despite the steel construction, the folded profile is remarkably low — slim enough to disappear under optics and co-witness cleanly through red dots. Deployment is instant and positive from either side, and the sight returns to exactly the same zero every time it flips up.
