The Magpul MBUS Pro Front Folding Sight is an all-steel backup iron sight for AR-15 and M4 rifles, clamping to any 1913 Picatinny top rail.

The backup sight that behaves like a primary — all-steel MBUS Pro engineering in its purest form.

The Magpul MBUS Pro Front Folding Sight (MAG275) is machined from steel, finished in corrosion-resistant black, and built around one uncompromising requirement: when it flips up, it must be exactly where you zeroed it. The lockup is free of play, the detents are positive, and the post presents a crisp sight picture that steel alone can keep true through years of knocks.

Folded, the MBUS Pro sits astonishingly low on the rail — among the slimmest steel sights made — so it disappears under magnified optics and co-witnesses correctly with red dots. What rail does the MBUS Pro front sight need?

It fits 1913 Picatinny top rails on AR-15/M4 pattern rifles, mounted at the front of the rail in the usual front sight position. It pairs with any MBUS Pro rear sight, such as the MBUS Pro Rear (MAG276). Make sure the front rail sits on the same plane as your rear sight position.

What is the advantage of the steel MBUS Pro over a polymer sight?

The MAG275 is all steel, which gives a sight that shrugs off knocks and keeps a slim folded profile under an optic. Polymer flip-ups such as the original MBUS front are lighter and come in colours, but steel is the harder-wearing option. It is a folding design, so it drops flat out of the way until you need it.

How low does it sit when folded?

It folds flat against the rail, which is the point of a backup sight: it should not intrude on the view through your optic. Whether it clears your particular optic depends on that optic's height and objective, so check clearance before committing to a position. Elevation is set on the front post in the normal way when you zero.

Do I need the rear sight as well, and is there a colour choice?

A front sight is only useful with a matching rear, so budget for the pair unless you already run an MBUS Pro rear. The MBUS Pro line is black steel with no colour options. Other combinations are listed in Magpul MBUS sights.
