The Magpul M-LOK Aluminum Rail Section, 3-Slot is an aluminium Picatinny rail section that mounts directly into any M-LOK handguard slot.

Add a short length of Picatinny rail exactly where you need it — the direct-mount aluminium way to run rail accessories on an M-LOK handguard.

The Magpul M-LOK Aluminum Rail Section, 3-Slot (MAG580) bolts straight to any M-LOK slot and gives you three slots of MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail for lights, lasers, older mounts or a hand stop. Machined from hard-anodized aluminium for a rock-solid, low-profile platform, it uses the M-LOK cam-lock system for a secure, repeatable mount and ships with the hardware you need to fit it.

Will this rail section fit my handguard?

It fits any M-LOK-compatible handguard or forend, so the first thing to check is that your forend is genuinely M-LOK rather than Picatinny-only or a different slot standard. You also need a clear run of M-LOK slots long enough to take a three-slot section where the accessory needs to sit. If your handguard is already Picatinny along its full length, you don't need this at all.

What does an M-LOK rail section actually do?

It converts M-LOK slots into MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail, so accessories built for Picatinny will mount on an M-LOK forend. That covers lights, lasers, older mounts and a hand stop — anything with a rail clamp rather than a direct M-LOK footprint. It uses the M-LOK cam-lock system, which draws the section tight inside the slot for a secure, repeatable mount.

How many slots do I need, and how does this compare with the longer sections?

Three slots is the short option, enough for a single compact accessory where handguard space is tight.
