The Holosun HE508T X2 is a 1x open reflex pistol sight in a Grade 5 titanium housing, cut to the Trijicon RMR footprint and carrying the Multi-Reticle System in red.
Titanium is what the money buys. Grade 5 gives a far better strength-to-weight ratio than aluminium, so the housing takes abuse without putting extra mass on a reciprocating slide.
The reticle set is the familiar 507 and 508 arrangement: a 2 MOA dot for precision, a 32 MOA circle for speed, or both together as a circle-dot, shown at 650nm through a 23 x 16 mm window. Twelve brightness levels break down as eight for daylight and four that work behind night vision. Clicks are 1 MOA with 50 MOA of travel each way.
Power is a CR1632 in a side-loading tray, so the cell changes with the optic still bolted down and still zeroed, and Solar Failsafe draws supplemental power from ambient light while Shake Awake shuts the reticle down when the pistol is at rest, which together underpin the 50,000-hour rating. The X2 revision adds Lock Mode to hold the settings. The housing is IP67 rated, measures 1.78 x 1.15 x 1.15 in and weighs 2 oz. It is an open emitter, so if a fully sealed window is the priority the enclosed HE509T is the sibling to look at.
