Which lowers does the Hi-Speed Match fit?
It is a drop-in fit for AR-15/M4 pattern lower receivers using mil-spec trigger pins. Some receivers use large-pin or otherwise non-standard holes, so confirm your pin size before ordering. If your lower is an unusual pattern, contact us with the make and model and we'll check.
What does the Hi-Speed offer that the fixed Geissele triggers do not?
This is Geissele's fully adjustable two-stage match trigger: pull weight, sear engagement and overtravel can all be tuned rather than being set at the factory. That makes it the one to choose if you want to dial the trigger to a discipline or to your own preference over time. Fixed-weight models such as the SSA family are simpler and need no setting up.
How should I approach the adjustments?
Work one adjustment at a time, in small increments, and function-check the rifle thoroughly after every change, including safety and hammer-follow checks with the bolt cycled by hand. Only adjust with the rifle unloaded and the magazine out. If you are not confident carrying out those checks, have a gunsmith set it up for you.
Is this the right choice for me, or would a fixed trigger do?
If you compete or shoot precision and want to fine-tune the break, the adjustability earns its keep; for a general-purpose carbine, a set two-stage is usually easier to live with.
