The Daniel Defense Offset Flashlight Mount is a Rock & Lock offset light mount for 1" (25.4 mm) flashlight bodies, clamping to any Mil-Std 1913 Picatinny rail.
Put the light where your thumb already is — an offset mount designed around a vertical foregrip, not bolted on beside one.
The idea is simple and it works. Fit a vertical foregrip on the bottom rail, put this mount on either side rail, and the light's tailcap lands exactly where your support thumb sits. In Daniel Defense's own words, as the shooter's forward hand grips the vertical foregrip, his thumb has quick and perfect access to the rear button of his flashlight.
The second benefit is the one nobody advertises: it eliminates many accidental light discharges, because although the action to the on/off button is quick and natural, it is also deliberate. A light that switches itself on in the bag or against your kit is a real problem, and geometry solves it better than discipline does.
The mount is precision CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminium and Hard Coat Type III Mil-Spec anodised black, and it uses Daniel Defense's patented Rock & Lock one-piece mounting system, which simplifies installation on MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rails. It weighs 1.3 oz (37 g) and is made in the USA. Because it fits either side rail, the same part serves left- and right-handed shooters.

What the Offset Flashlight Mount fits
Fits any MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail — a quad rail, or a rail section added to an M-LOK or KeyMod handguard — on AR-15/M4 rifles including UK straight-pull AR-15 builds. The mount accommodates 1" (25.4 mm) diameter flashlight bodies; Daniel Defense sells separate reducing inserts in .915" and .835" for slimmer lights, which are not included here. It is intended to be used alongside a vertical foregrip on the bottom rail, which is what puts the tailcap under your thumb, and it can be fitted on either side rail for left- or right-handed use.
