Daniel Defense extended its optics mount line to cover standard-size scopes, and this is the 30mm double-ring version: two rings on one base, for a variable-power riflescope with a 30mm main tube. It is precision machined from aerospace-grade aluminium with Type III hard-coat anodising, and every fastener at the base and the rings is Torx Plus, which is a better interface than a hex socket when a driver is going to be used repeatedly at low torque.
The base uses Daniel Defense's patented Rock & Lock mounting technology, so it goes onto the rail and comes off again cleanly rather than needing to be persuaded. Total weight is 5.5 oz (155 g) and it is manufactured in the USA.
This is the mount for a UK straight-pull AR-15 wearing a magnified optic — a rifle worked by hand and shot deliberately, where a scope that stays exactly where it was put is the whole game. What the 30mm Optics Mount fits
Fits riflescopes with a 30mm main tube and mounts to any MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail — on an AR-15/M4, including UK straight-pull AR-15 builds, that is the flat-top upper receiver rail. Measure your scope's tube diameter rather than assuming it: a 1" or 34mm tube will not fit these rings, and Daniel Defense sells a separate 1" version. Daniel Defense also offers this mount in a single-ring configuration; the part number listed here, 03-047-07146, is the double ring. Ring height is not published by Daniel Defense, so check objective bell clearance against your own upper before ordering if you are running a large objective.
